Tables are actually the easiest to size for. When selecting a chandelier for a table use this easy guide. First, the width of the chandelier should be no bigger than 12” less than the width of the table. For example, if your table is 42” wide, the chandelier should not be more than 30” wide. As far as chandelier height goes, well that’s a little more of a judgement call. If your ceiling height is only 8’, then you need to be careful about how tall the chandelier is. The bottom of a chandelier should hang between 30” to 36” off the surface of the table. Using that guide, you can then determine how tall of a chandelier you can actually use. We also tell clients to trust their judgement, if it looks good to you, then it probably is.
